From the mail bag:
Q: "How often do you suggest I write to my subscribers per week? Once a week? Twice a week? I know this one lady and guy that send out a message every freaking day and for some reason it gets on my nerves. I had to opt out of the guy’s autoresponder. He wrote good stuff but for some reason I didn’t want to hear from him everyday almost twice in one day. What is your take on that?"

A: If you find yourself annoyed or overwhelmed by the frequency of someone else's emails to you, it's probably a good gauge of what NOT to do.
Think of it like watering a plant. Too much rots the root and too little... you loose the leaves. 1-3 times a week should be enough to share articles, specials, promotions, cool tips etc once you're out of your "boot camp" series (normally 4-10 days in a row). A good rule of thumb is to keep in touch as often as you have something of value to share with your list.
Just focus on the relationship and commune with your list the same way you would if your close friends and family. In my case my family and my best friend are actually on my list so I keep that in mind when I'm writing.
And just so you know, don't always have a blatant sales pitch in every email without sharing value. If a specific product will assist in the solutions your subscribers are seeking go a head and mention it but first illustrate the benefits and advantages first.
To the top!!!
